DEFENSIVE DRIVING ONLINE COURSE (6 Hours)

The Texas Driving Safety or Ticket Dismissal Program is designed for ticket dismissal or court-ordered driver education. This quick and easy online program will satisfy state and or insurance requirements.

TEEN ONLINE SELF-PACED COURSE (32 HOURS)

HELPFUL ANNOUNCEMENT: Prior to paying for this course, schedule your appointment to pick-up your Texas Learners License (aka - driving permit) at the (DPS) Department of Public Safety (DLO) Drivers License Office.

The DPS DLO has a long backlog. It can take approximately 3 to 5 months to receive an appointment to pickup your driving permit. You can schedule your appointment at any DLO in Texas. To schedule an appointment, please visit DPS DLO's website at https://public.txdpsscheduler.com.

  • After completing your registration, check your email. You will receive an email from Pass Drivers Ed. Reply to that email with your username and password. Pass Drivers Ed will email  you a link to the course. Always return to that link when taking this course.
  • Students can only complete 2 hours of the online course each day. 
  • After completing the first six hours of the course, you're authorized to take the DPS written test (aka Permit Test). There's no charge to take the Permit Test. It's free!.
  • After passing the Permit Test, click on blue box "Get Certificate" and download the DE-964 form (aka - permit certificate).

MANDATORY: While you're waiting on your appointment at the DLO, return to your online course. You must complete the remaining 26 hours of the 32 hours course and pass the End Of Course exam. You have 90 days to complete the entire course.

  • One week prior to your DLO appointment, gather all of your required documents then go to your scheduled DLO appointment.
  • Now that you have your driving permit in your hands, you can register for the mandotary 14 hours of in-car driving lessons at Pioneer. Also, you can start your mandatory 30 hours of driving lessons with your parents.
  • Teen Driving Lessons (14 Hours)

    • 7 In-car driving lessons (14-hours)
    • Each lesson is 2 hours long (1 hour driving and 1 hour of backseat observation)
